Monarch High National Honor Society helps BOHO

The National Honor Society at Monarch High School recently assisted one of our faith partners, St. Andrew Presbyterian Church in a blanket washing project.

The NHS washed and dried 227 blankets used at the emergency warming center at St. Andrew Presbyterian Church. Church volunteers delivered the blankets to MOHI on Thursday afternoon, February 24. Each NHS member took 2-6 blankets home, washed and dried them, and returned them on the next Tuesday, March 1, ready for use on Wednesday.

The connection was made to Monarch High School NHS by several members of St. Andrew who are in the NHS at Monarch High School.

The freshly washed blankets were used for the first time on Wednesday, March 9. And BOHO clients noticed and commented on their clean, fresh scent.

The students were enthusiastic about helping one of BOHO’s faith partners and St. Andrew is greatly appreciative of their thoughtful service project.

Thanks again to the National Honor Society at Monarch High School for their service to BOHO.
